Bmw 635 M

I built this for Tamiya many years ago (about 1991) when they first came to California and created Tamiya America. Just an out of the box build for the showroom, built even before the showroom was built.
Sadly the facility is no longer going to be the way it has been for many years, but the folks at Tamiya were kind enough to offer back to the builders the models they had built for the showroom. I'm very pleased to report that the models were cared for very well, as evidenced by this example. Granted, the mirrors are missing on this one, but most of the models I picked up were 100% complete and undamaged. I would bet if I noticed the absence of them at the time, I could have found them.
The model was airbrushed with Testors Copenhagen Blue from the Model Master line. (This being well before we had access to the Tamiya line of lacquer spray paints.) No clear, just the old Testors, and it has held up well. Certainly it is dry now... All I did upon receiving the model last week was to give a light "wash" with a soft cloth moistened with some Mothers quick detailer like you would possibly do to your real car. And then a quick light application of some Tamiya wax. Better than a die-cast to me, it's a new "instant" model for my collection that I still get the enjoyment of having built... - Mark

Nice built there and it is really amazing that you did not have any clear coats on them. it is one of my dream to own one like this but could not find a really good one in Malaysia. It is really a good classic to actually drive one.
