I hope you are sitting down !!!
I have a computer programe that tells me the amount.
The last 2 years....$$ 2081.51NZD = $951.90USD

Oh well....got to have a hobby. Seen i've given up drinking and dont smoke i feel its worth it. Plus i have something to show for my money spent.
I know people here that smoke 2 packets of smokes a day at $10 each a packet =$7000 odd dollars a year....so IMO modelling is still a cheap hobby

Hmm..

To make myself feel better, I'd say $500 since I first started, but in reality its probably closer to six or seven hundred

I like Warren (P-man) , have logged my inventory into my computer in Microsoft Excel. The total I'm at right now is just under 5000.00 U.S. dollars and I'm not done with the list yet. This started back in 1998 after a 12 year absence from modeling. I think I need to buy insurance.
Damn toys. This total is including all supplies.

I think I'm way behind you guys. Since I started again in March, I think I spent about S$300 (US$170) at most on models.

I have a long way to go..

Well, from my point of view it's a bit different. It stopped being a hobby and started to be my sole source of income. Just in the past year, I would have to estimate what i've spent to be somewhere in the $7000 range on 'modeling stuff'.

But a chunk of that is equipment that i'll only have to buy once, or i'll only have to buy once every year or two.

It's expensive, no doubt about it

but i love it.
