Talking I Need Tips in upgrading a DOHC VTEC Engine

hey everybody.. im new and all.. so i dont know how yas treat newbies round here haa.. but yeah im just not at all the best car person.. i mean i do know some basics but hrmm..

i have recently purchased a 2000 Civic Coupe (DOHC VTEC) and im very curious on upgrading the actual VTEC engine... im not to keen into a full engine change i just want to max the VTEC potential performance.. ive currently added a KNN Filter and it seems to run smoother and it kicks in slightly faster revs..
my frens tell me to add VTEC controllers.. and iam still curious in what else can be added to the actual VTEC engine..

btw if you live around sydney Australia.. it would be preffered if u can reccomend me parts that are legal in our region iam not to keen in difects.. thanks alot peoples i hope i could get some feedback asap..

Bolt-ons such as a header,CAI, Intake manifold, throttle body and catback exhaust. Then you can bump compression with CTR pistons and raise your redline with some aftermarket cams, springs and retainers. Get a chipped ecu to utilize your higher redline and a VAFC to mildly tune. Or you can just slap a turbo on there. (not my flavor)
