Has anyone experienced being locked in your car?
I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer that randomly opened the rear hatch and locks the doors. When the door are locked by the car the solenoids continue to have current sent to them so you can not unlock the doors either by the unlock switch or the latch. Also with the window switches are pressed it is ransom if the windows go down or the doors lock. The rear hatch often pops when the driver side door is closed or the car is put in gear. I have disconnected all of the door/window switches including the rear hatch switch in the dash and the rear hatch still opens when the doors are closed or car put in gear. The only thing that works so far is pulling the circuit breaker for the windows/doors. If anyone has had prior experience with this problem please let me know what you found out. I hate the idea of paying $90/hour for the mechanics to TRY and trace the problem (no guarentees of course) Thanks to all |
