2000 Blazer - loss of power & stalling
When starting in the morning no problem. When starting in afternoon after sitting all day it has no power and stalls. Hard to restart but eventually does and then sometimes runs fine afterwards. Today, had hard time keeping it running. No engine lights, dashboards lights, nothing like that comes on...ABS comes on and stays on but am told that's a faulty sensor. Had a tune up last fall.
Forum has helped with recent braking problem - can it work magic twice? Any ideas on starting/stalling/loss of power problem? Thanks. |

Re: 2000 Blazer - loss of power & stalling
Please Post your engine size, 4.3L V6?
What parts were replaced in your "Tune Up" last Fall? Cap & Rotor? Wires & Plugs? If so, did you use AC-Delco Parts? Have you checked fuel pressure? When did you last change your fuel Filter, Air filter? You said it has no power and stalls, does it seem to sputter when it does run? Does it get better when warmed up?

Re: 2000 Blazer - loss of power & stalling
Engine size - 4.3L V6.
Cap, Rotor, Wires, Plugs, Air Filter were all replaced in tune up last fall - yes, used AC Delco parts. No, did not check fuel pressure - don't know when fuel filter was last changed because only got the truck 1.5 years ago...that was the next thing on the list to replace. Doesn't sputter - just has absolutely no power - can put pedal to the floor and creep along only at 5 MPH. Yes, did seem as though would get better when vehicle warmed up but yesterday couldn't keep it running even after letting it warm up and after it stalled it would be hard to restart. Not sure if b/c its getting worse or just an odd day. |

Sounds to me like you're starving for fuel. Change your fuel filter then Check your fuel pump pressure and post back with the readings.
