Voltage Stabilizers???
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BELLO...Q5fAccessories
Ok the above is a link to a Ebay sale. There are other websites that sell Voltage Stabilizers. Everyone claims that they will INCREASE MPG. I have looked at a couple of Videos on how to install this "Stabilizer". BAsically, you add 4 grounds from the Engine to the body and then you attach this box to your battery and that is it. Is this REAL or is it snake oil?

That says it all to me. Plus, whenever an ad says "beware of other imitation...", that means they have nothing to differentiate themselves from the other snake oil other than mudslinging everyone else. You already have a voltage stabilizer in your car called a battery ![]()

Re: Voltage Stabilizers???
I agree with Curtis. The images show a box with 3 small capacitors and an LED voltage display. The three capacitors are too small to filter much noise, certainly not enough to prevent headlight flicker like the ad suggests. That's what the 1 Farad capacitors used in large car stereo installations help with. The three capacitors shown are probably more like 330 uF capacitors. Assuming they're connected in parallel they would equate to 1 mF, far from enough capacitance to filter enough of a load that it would make an appreciable difference in the performance or fuel economy of the car or its electrical system. While the battery does filter quite a bit of the rectifier noise from the alternator, its internal resistance is too high to do a good job with high frequency spikes. These capacitors would perform better with high frequency spikes, but the PCM already has several capacitors to handle the high frequency spikes. The only money that will be saved by this device is likely to be the money of the seller and manufacturer.
