Doing OK, thanks!
I guess I could do better, like building something again, for a change.
Just kiddin', I'm trying to finish the 20" BBS challenge wheels + the PZero tires this week.

For some strange reason I lately prefer making wheels instead of building models.

Re: Some Revell news

I managed to work on some models this weekend! I can't wait for those wheels!

The new Revell models look good, though I'm more excited about the Ferrari California coming in October.

Re: Some Revell news

The V-Dub is just a re-pop of the Fujimi (I think) 23 window full detail kit. Look for prices in the $50-$80 range (full of PE if it's an exact duplicate of the prior release.)

Commadore, just cool! I'll have to get a few of those, I'm thinking LS1 or full Z-06 chassis swap.

That other car...umm, well, it IS the car that Ron Weezely drove into the Whomping Willow at Hogwarts. hahaha I guess it could be really neat.

No, the VW is all-new tooling, not based on the Hasegawa kit, which was never full-detail. Revell did a full-detail kit of this subject long ago. The new one is somewhat faithful to the old in that it has a multi-piece body. Honestly I don't know why they did yet another kit of a 23 window. The bay window vans are the black hole of modeling

I'm fairly sure the Commodore is 1/18th diecast.

The other car is a new-tool Trabant. Yet another retool of a kit they already offered. It was probably done earlier by the same Dutch (?) company that did the Corrado, with proprietary molding equipment, company is gone, no way to reshoot the molds. Most people on this forum would have gone nuts for a new Corrado vs. a Trabant or VW van.

Quite possible as they already have it in their die cast catalogue while there is no trace of it in either 1/24 or 1/25 categories.

You are absolutely correct. Here's a pdf about Revell's new die-cast technology - they will be doing bodies from composite plastic.

The new Commodore GS/E is also mentioned in that pdf.
