projector problem

hey last night i was choked to find out one of my projector's bulbs burnt out. It's the low beam, so i'm wondering is this going to happen often, as i've only had them for less than a month, and what size of bulb is the low beam, h3 h4? I'll put piaa's in next month, i just don't have the cash for them right now. thanks all.

All i know is the bulbs are 9003. make sure you get a bulb that is of the right wattage and with enough power to withstand the projection or you will be finding yourself going to the store every month to buy headlights.

This is the exact same reason I took a bat and took out my anger on the driver side projector. For it was usually that the connection that gotten lose and needed to be readjusted. A real pain in the butt.

Yeah, my connections loosen up all the damn time! A quick adjustment and we're back in shape. As for the bulbs, if you shell out for a nicer set they tend to last longer. I was going through cheap ass bulbs every month, but now I haven't changed them out for about 4 months. PIAA are good, I don't remember the other good brand, maybe Raybrig. Not sure though.

Yes... the projector low beam is an H3. I had this same problem with burnt bulbs. I've gone through about 6 sets in a short period of time. Every time I buy super white or any other bulb of higher wattage, they burn out really fast... so now I just use a regular bulb and it's lasted a long time now.

ghettolegs, you've found that better bulbs, like piaa;s burn out quicker? hmm....i'm going to check the connections as soon as my car gets back from the shop, and if that's not it, then i'll decide whether to get some piaa's, or jsut stick with the regular bulbs.

Re: projector problem

i also had a superwhite bulb and it burnt out in just a short time, couple of months maybe. its because they burn at a hotter temperature and therefore wont last as long

Are you aware that this thread is over 2 years old? Look at the date of soul180's post and yours, jdmcivic04. I rarely ever post here anymore and I got an email for the reply. I just thought this is kinda funny.
