Tamiya Merc 500SEC Cpe

This kit I will be building along with my S600 AMG Cpe just for fun. I'm thinking of painting it Two-Tone Grey.

Here is the start.

This is the look I want for this kit. What do you think?

Re: Tamiya Merc 500SEC Cpe

For some reason, i really like these big old benzs. The one you have pictured looks good, the bbs seem to not fit it well though. Don't get me wrong, bbs look good on anything, but i would go with a older style wheel set, and also maybe 1-2inches smaller.

Re: Tamiya Merc 500SEC Cpe

Hey MidMarzar, I agree with what you said about the older big Benzs. They are soo nice even when you see them on the street today. I went through a lot of 500sec pictures but when I saw that silver car pic, that was the look I wanted. I am sanding out the molding lines and will paint soon. Too many WIP projects and I don't just mean the ones I have on AF. Anyway, Thanks.

Go for the one in your pic.. it's very right on.

Love all your projects, you've got the style that I appreciate.

Re: Tamiya Merc 500SEC Cpe

Updates.

This color is called Tamiya Haze Grey and Modelmasters Gull Grey on bottom.

Not much like I wanted.

I then tried Tamiya TS-15 Blue.

Not crazy for the blue either. I am thinking of keeping the blue or change to red.

Re: Tamiya Merc 500SEC Cpe

Some updates.

The last time you guys saw this car, I didn't know what I wanted to do with it and it ended up looking like this.

Now, This is what it's starting to look like.

These are the wheels.
