Question New paint job for my car

:flash: I have an off white colored 90 Camaro RS. I'm only 17, so I don't know THAT much just yet. How much would it cost to get a new paint job on my camaro? I know it varies, but an estimate maybe? O want a fairly decent paint job. Who doesnt?

1. Rust repaired, and a new paint job without stripping the whole car

2. Totally strip the car, rust rep. and a brand new white or black color.

Could run you a couple hundred from a Maaco job to several thousand for a "like new" job where they take all of the panels off the car and repaint them.

Barring the Maaco's and going only to a good reputable place.

#1 1-3g's

Also the color/type of paint will vary cost. Quality automtoive paint on avergae starts at $40 can go up to $200 per quart. Then can reach extremes of $1500quart.
A car all prepped and ready to be sprayed at a good body shop wouldn't cost you much at all. Most of the cost is in the body and prep work.

I wanted either black, or white. Its already white, but the black camaros look so sharp! I will post a picture of it soon, just got to find the disc with the picture on it.

By the way. I'm new here (duh). Glad you all have been so much of a help. I'm a 17 yr old female and I love driving my car. It's definatly my pride and joy. Ive only seen one other Camaro that was in better condition than mine. All the old style camaros around her have been into accidents or just have been totally weathered. There are 4 or 5 new style camaros that go to our school, but they all get help paying for it from their parents. I'm proud to say I'm not one of them.

Yup, I'd agree, black is sharp.

I'd roll in that.:coolguy:
Reminds me of my first car...an 89' Camaro RS 305. Looked just like that exept it was royal blue.

That is in nice shape for a 3rd Gen Camaro.

I have a suggestion for color. To save money keep it white. But have it painted with House of Color Pearl White with HOC Ice Pearl Flake 1/64 Ultra-mini added. The flake will make the whole car shimmer in the light. When you see it it's the most amazing effect it's hard to describe. Also white is one of the best colors to use the Ice Pearl Flake with.
