Foglights

Ok, here's the dealie...

When I run my headlights, the fog lights don't run, but when I run my high beams, they run - is that normal for everyone. I would think the fogs should run with the headlights, but they don't. I noticed Dprotech has his running with the headlights. My friend said the foglights on the G are not 'real' fogs. So should I go about rewiring them or ???????????????????? duh

Sounds like a wire got crossed somewhere. THey should come on with the headlights, and come off with the highbeams.

Agreed. The fogs have been wired to the highbeam circuit rather than lowbeam circuit.

When I wire up fogs on my own, I wire them to the parking light circuit so I can use them at all times.

Definatly...then you can turn your headlights off in the realll dense fog and just have the fogs on. And as a bonus they come on with stay on with your highbeams too!

Also in one of the top posts in this thread about them not being "real" foglights...i would disagree with that. The bulbs are higher wattage than your regular headlamps and they cover a nice section of road. Also they are in a good location to the outer most corners of the car, which aid in lighting the reflectors and reflective stripes on the road in very low visibility conditions.

Look at little stupid round OEM foglights that come on some other cars, and those are definatly worthless. And my opinion...the PIAA fogs or not worth the money.
