Fujimi 1/16 Lambo -88 version

Back again in carmodeling after a break finishing my huge collection of unmade AFV models. Nothing special are done to this kit. Just build OOB. I had some troubles to align the doors in closeposition caused by warping of the door during storage. That ended up by glueing the windows to the door to straight up the doorframes before the paintingprocess. I had to examine rest of my Fujimi collection of 1/16 cars and discovered that my Ferrari Testarossa had a big warp at the rear, Hugh! Anyway, hereīs to picīs.

Awesome Lamborghini, very realistic! The bespoilered versions of the Countach always look fantastic in basic black.

Great model!
I've got the 1/24 enthusiast model waiting to be built. That has got me all inspired to kick it off. How good does it look in black !!!!
Which 1/16 kits do you have?

Itīs a pretty straight forward kit to build with some exeptions, the aligment of doors. I solved that by glueing the glass in the door and just before the glue sets, mount them in their place with tape or similar so they will get right shape around the windowframes and fit better in body.

This kit is basically from the beginning an motorized model, so the details is very sparse in some places. But there is plenty of room for superdetailing here.

mesurement i about 260mm long, 120mm wide.

Re: Fujimi 1/16 Lambo -88 version

A quick question if you don't mind Schnitzermann. Are the Lamborghini and Quattrovalve scripts on the tail PE or decal? I'd like to do my 1/24th enthusiast Countach in Black but Fujimi only supply black decals for the scripts. I think I recall somebody made A PE set for the 1/24th Countach but it appears to be long out of print.

I think Yorozuya made some etched sets for Lamborghinis, but I don't know where to get their products.

No, they are molded directly on the parts. So you have to carefull with the drybrush technique. I didnīt use any PE or such thing on this model. If you make an closeup, you wll see my misstakes around the lettering.

Thanks for the info Mel and Schnitz'. Just goes to show you have to snatch up those kind of things when you first see them, 'cause you might not get the chance later.

Mistakes? Who cares, the whole car looks great from here.

Re: Fujimi 1/16 Lambo -88 version

I just found this thread. Looking very good!
I have same kit, but I stop because some things are not very clear to me.
How you put bumpers? I'm not sure how to put it corectly and to not make mistake. Always looking to me that some gap left when I try to put it on.
