plastic piece between bumper and rear quarter?

Does anyone know where i could get those plastic pieces between the bumper and the rear quarter panels? one of mine is cracked and falling apart and the other one is really fragile too. I wonder if they'd still make these

Bumper filler pieces. I've found some nice rubbery ones at a junkyard. Worked like a charm. As far as aftermarket new ones, I don't know of any out there. You could try car-part.com for used parts, or try your local junkyard(s) classicindustries.com is good for new oem and aftermarket parts, but may or may not have bumper fillers.

Re: plastic piece between bumper and rear quarter?

I think you're likely to find these only in salvage yards or eBay. Perhaps this link from another thread on a similar subject might help:http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=762571

Re: plastic piece between bumper and rear quarter?

I was able to get a new one for the rear at this place by me that specializes in caprices, its aftermarket but still works for me, so they do exist.

I've seen those on several websites. The main ones are carpartswholesale.com and partstrain.com.

I'm not sure. I don't even have the car right now but if i remember correctly i think you do. But all you need to do that is a screwdriver. Where did you get them?

Yes, which means you have to remove the headlamps as well. There are 3 nuts on the back of each headlamp assembly that you can get to from under the hood. The chrome trim pieces (bezels) are held in with 4 T25 Torx screws.

Re: plastic piece between bumper and rear quarter?

Yes. The screws (studs) are arranged in a triangular pattern. Once you get the three nuts off, the headlamp will indeed slide forward and out (once you remove the bulbs).

The washer like nuts you speak of (just by their description) are the nuts that stabilize the header panel against the core support. There are only two of those. The nuts that hold the headlamps themselves are on the header panel and not the core support. You should see holes in the core support where you can get to the nuts. You will need an 11mm socket wrench. You will also need to remove the battery on the passenger side to get to it.
