BKR7E -vs- PFR6B-11
Ok here is the question. If using copper NGK plugs in place of the platinum NGKs in the US spec SR20DE is this the cross reference I should be using:
PFR6B-11 (gap .035 - .044) to BKR7E (gap .031 - .035) OR should I be using the BKR7E-11 (gap .031 - .035) OR What copper NGK plug can be used in place of the platinum NGKs. Thanks in advance! ![]()

When swapping from plats to copper, keep the same heat range unless you are simultaneously changing something else that requires you to change heat ranges. The last number is the the gap in milimeters with on decimal place assumed, i.e. 11= 1.1mm gap, or 0.039-0.043". That said, the FSM recommends a gap of 0.8-0.9mm or 0.031-0.035" for the copper plugs. So, you would not want the -11 plugs in copper. If there is a number at the end, you would want a -9. All of that said, the FSM recommends: BKR6E (copper) or PFR6B-11 (plats)

Or atleast for 30,000 miles. ![]() Any reason to why the auto parts stores do not cross reference the coppers with the platinums in the SR20's. I thought that was a little strange. Only show OEM recommended which is the plats. Atleast Advance Auto and Pep Boys did.

I don't know if the fault lies with NGK or Nissan. There are only a very small handful of companies providing cataloging for aftermarket replacement parts. They all use the same data to prepare their catalogs basically. So, if the info they get is wrong, they are all wrong. I have no idea why they don't have a general plat to copper cross reference though.

Hi I use the bkr6e ,they work fine .changing every 3000miles,they are very cheap 6 dollars,(Chile)all package.(4)
