explain generations

ok its mogg again the king of newbie questions

what does generation mean? people are always saying I have a 5th gen tegra or 3rd gen tegra....how do you tell?

change of body/chassis style

integras:
8?-89=1st gen
90-93=2nd gen
94-02=3rd gen

civics:
88-91=4th gen
92-95=5th gen
96-00=6th
01-03=7th, except the new si...i dont know about that

new si's are classified as 7th gens...jus like the rest of the h/b civics go w/ that year's coupes. ugly as hell tho this year an last...

yeah they really need to make a new civic si.. like the 2k's
with i-vtec and 200hp;.. like the rsx.. but with a civic..

i dont like the new civics either, hatchback Si included. i do like the shifter though, just bcs its different.
