Hello All ... can anyone tell me what would cause an "uneven firing voltage"?
The firing voltages are out of range. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Al |

runs rough at idle
may be your looking in the wrong place if it only happens after the car is warmed up, most likely not secondary ignition.
have you done a carefull valve adjustment and compression test? remember if it not happening when cold look for things that are affected by temp, also possible fuel mix issue check the pulse width on the injectors when cold and warm. |

Hey FrenchBullDog ... yeah the vibration occurs once the car has warmed up and driven for a while. Its real annoying at stop lights.
Anyhow ... I can give the compression test a try ... also .. I know the head cover gasket is leaking ... slowly more and more oil accumulates. I thought I'd check the firing voltage first because the "KV change" value was out of range. You mention fuel/air mixture .. any chance of an Oxygen sensor problem? Thanks, Al |

allways start with the basics
if the v/c gasket is leaking change it and the v/c grommets and spark plug tube seals with factory honda parts and do a very carefull valve adjustment, I have worked on hondas for many years and the one thing most often overlooked is the valve adjustment(V/A). then after the V/A warm the car up to normal operating temp and run a comression test with a reliable compression gauge. If you are not comfortable with and fully understand what I am talking about you should seek the help of your local experianced honda mechanic. NEVER try to work on your own car if you dont know what you are doing you will most likely cost yourself more money and problems in the long run.
