96 concord fast idle
Hey all,
Just wondering what the best way to go about slowing the idle is...? It races up to about 2-3k rpm w/o throttle, and I checked the throttle bodies and the cable is correct, check engine light is also on but dont know how to check on a dodge/chrystler...? Thanx for any info!

First get the code read. Go to autozone they will read it for free. The codes will more than likely be missfires. Mine had the same symtoms it ended up being the plenum gasket. Take some carb cleaner when car is running spray it by the intake on a 6 cylinders if you get a change in idle speed you have a leaky intake or plenum gasket.

Re: 96 concord fast idle
Ended up being a cracked PCV valve line...just incase anyone else has this problem, seems to be common with idle problems, get the valve changed every year or so (theyre cheap)

Re: 96 concord fast idle
Check the Codes, could be a vaccum leak. Suggest you check all hoses.
