Unhappy Big time confused :(

Ok i just did a mini me swap onto my 97 dx using a 98 ex head, intake manifold, ecu and wire harness. its an automatic

went to hook everything up and i can't find a place anywhere on the wiring harness to plug the 2nd o2 sensor in. Only reason i need to is so i can put on my stock exhaust manifold and pass emissions. on the dx both sensors are on the exhaust manifold but on the EX one is below it and the other is by the cat which is near the passenger seat i think(never looked under a EX). i looked over the entire underside of my car around the block and everything and haven't found squat.

does anyone have any idea that can help me hook up the 2nd o2 sensor. i thought about maybe splicing it into the other sensor but i think the ECU wouldn't read it right and give messed up readings. i need to get this done because i have to take my car for inspection soon. im pulling hair out over trying to get this fixed. tips? suggestions?

Not exactly sure but most OBDII cars have the second o2 sensor in the cat ( 00 Si, GSR,etc )

yea they do

but i can't find anywhere to plug in the 2nd o2 sensor.

OR

would it work to pass emissions if i just hooked the lower one up by itself and left the other one just sitting screwed into the stock exhaust manifold?

its a dx so the cat is on the exhaust manifold

can't see it on here but one sensor goes in between the 4 exhaust pipes coming out and the 2nd one is under the cat

Hm... I am not sure if it used a second o2 sensor or not. What I did was splice the 02 sensor into the first one and therefore they would both get the same voltage reading and send it to the ecu the first 02 sensor is the upstream 02 sensor the the second one is the downstream sensor. The difference in the two is that its suppose to see how effiecent the o2 sensor is readng. but then looking again... If you used the wiring harness from the Vtec motor than there should be a plug. See if the wire broke and the connector is missing. look up the schematics for the 02 sensor and find what color wire it is and follow it to whereever it goes. I think maybe the connector plug broke off when you were taing it off. But it should be there if you took it off with that motor. It shoudln't be hard to just wire the second 02 sensor up to the ecu. Just run a wire to the o2 sensor and run it the ecu pinout for the o2 sensor. Since its obd-II I dunno if you can splice the wire into the first one zuz it might run really rich because its suppose to lower the o2 in the exhaust through the cat. I hope that helps.
