"Saved by a plastic bag!"

It has been said recently that with war looming over us, it would be wise to stock up with supplies in case the sh*t hits the proverbial fan. By this the defense department(I believe) told US citizens to buy plastic sheets and duct tape so as to cover their doors and windows with it in the event of a biological and chemical attack. Please, oh please, tell me no one on here plans on doing this. As many people hopefully know, this would be worthless should an actual bomb containing such agents strike in the area of their homes. I understand that the US government is trying to put at rest the tensions had by many, but at least offer them a better idea than " put some plastic over your windows". It's amazing, all these 'brilliant' people working for the goverment and they cant even think of a good lie. oh well, just my $0.02

I'm sure that anyone with an ounce of sense can see that such an exercise would be futile. What I see is a propaganda exercise aimed at scaring people.By pretending that people are not safe in their own homes, the government is trying to scare people into backing the war.
