Newbie HERE

Hello all! I'm new to this forum, I usually check in on the classic Honda
area because I like to play with my 1:1 scale 1G Honda CRXs. I've been
modeling since I was 8, then through out my teens I abondoned the
hobby. But now, in my mid-20s, I started to build 1:24 Tamiya and
Fujimi kits of old skool Hondas.

After checking out everyones sweet models in the gallery as well
as the contest, I want to build better.

Here's my question; Most of you guys outline the door, and hood seams
with a super thin black outline. This looks abosolutely incredible!!! I want
to know the secret to doing that. What do you use?

Also, how do you guys get your paint jobs looking so bloody mint? Like
straight out of a factory.

And, where would I find aftermarket rims for 1/24 scale models?

Thanks for the tips guys! Sorry for the newbie questions...bare with me..

Re: Newbie HERE

For the outlining doors.. most people use Gundam Markers, or they thin out paint, so that it is runny and drip it down the lines, but i havne't done that yet.

Tamiya paint... Ask P-man..

And, where would I find aftermarket rims for 1/24 scale models?

HLJ.com is great.

Thanks for the warm welcomes and useful info! My true hobby is
playing with [i]real[i/] cars. But modeling has always been something
I've liked. ...It all began in 1984 when my grandpa passed on all of his
H0 scale model trains...then came cars - my first model was a Pontiac
GTO Judge and now 15years later I'm into Hondas.

Well, cool. Thanks again for the info. I'll post pics of my models as
soon as I can.
