headlights

I've got a '96 Maxima and was wondering if anyone had compared the headlights that come on the 5th generation maxima to the 4th generation. im sure they're different but i was wondering if and how hard it would be to convert headlights to the new style?

hey man, im not sure if u can swtich out 96 for 97 headlights but if u do a swap with a different set and u have a passenger side one that isnt cloudy or anything i will buy it off you u

The difference in shape between the 4th and 5th generation is way too much to be able to convert over without extensive bodywork.

I agree and I have a 2k, IMO the 2k2/2k3 lights look the best of all the lights, the only thing though is that you have to constantly keep an eye on your car, 'cause people are stealing those left and right.

Look on ebay at least twice a month somebody's stolen 2k2/2k3 headlights come up stolen and for sale on their website.

Besides I think the 4thgen lights are pretty cool.

what if instead of installing the whole unit i just installed the HID part of the headlight. . . I'm just tryin to get the the HID effect without having to buy that APC B^&$ S*@#!

You can buy HID bulbs from any local auto store, but if you are going to install them make sure that they are safe to run with your stock wiring system for your headlights. Some of them are and some aren't, if you get ones that aren't it'll end up costing you more money to replace the wiring harness and bulbs.

I'm not saying they have the 2k2/2k3 headlights but you can buy the hyper white lights or the blue bulbs to install into your current headlight housing.
