Thumbs down Getin pi**ed off with the civic

since I have had the car I have had loads of trouble with i

I have had a new exhaust system £210
the back brakes stick twice £40
Stalling for no reason then not starting for about 10 mins
front spring snapped
gearbox and clutch are completly shafted
cv joint nackered
rusty rear arches and sills
wheel bearing gone on back right
radiator split
the electric windows only just go up and down (after lubing them as well)
exhaust came of at down pipe and lost two bolts (I had to get the proper ones from honda for £8.00

and i've only had the car since september and I am really getting pissed off with it so I thought I would do this post to let out some of the stress,

beacuse I have just added up all of the things I have to do to it including things like lowering and clear back clusters and it totals about £960 so I'm not sure whether to keep it or not?

If it just keeps breaking, get rid of it! I have a VW Golf that just kept breaking and I just kept fixing it.. I wound up selling it for $500 after putting almost $6000 into it. It had a $550 exhaust on it!

Some cars are just lemons I think....

it was like it when I bought it, and when I had a charade turbo I took it to the MOT and BOTH of the front springs were snapped on that so thats why when I change the springs on my civic i'm just gunna buy lowering springs instead of stock ones

had the same thing happen with an 88 Accord. it has some mystery electrical problem. the timing belt snapped and it sat for almost a year. couldn't decide to fix it or sell it. sold it to some guy for $200. told him about the electrical. he fixed the timing belt and was driving it around all happy. 6 mons later i stopped seeing the car. a lemon for sure.

i'm sorry to hear your troubles. 1 bad car is ruining your experience. to look at the glass half full....at some point you'll have all this stuff replaced and then you won't have to deal with it again. at least that is the way i look at it when i have to replace say struts, alt, brakes, water pump, cv's and other stuff

I have just found a gearbox for £120 not fitted so all I have to do is get a new clutch then get it fitted, by the way how hard is it to fit a clutch and gearbox in a D16z9 coz they want £220 to fit it
