Cat. conv. problem

I got my tanabe racing medalion exhaust in the summer and this is my first winter with it. recently I put in my silencer and on that day the check engine light came on. It pulled a 67 meaning somethings wrong with the cat converter. I thought that the silencer backed up all the dense cold air but a couple days ago it came on without the silencer and then went away a day later. Any ideas?

Sounds like the cat is starting to go...

Get a new one? Or replace it with a straight pipe if you are emission except state.

If your car is modified at all - the dealer will tell you to screw off. Even though its illegal, they still do it. Id check the warranty, call the dealer I dont work for honda I cant say. And im pretty positive they will not have any "racing" cats at the dealer bro. Maybe ask em since they have to replace it anyways, if you can bring in your OWN cat for them to put in -- and just bring whatever you like. But ask first, some places will not install parts they dont sell to you.
