Thumbs up Exclusive US Grand Prix Offer for Lotus Ltd. Members

Exclusive Indianapolis Formula 1 US Grand Prix Offer
For
Lotus Ltd. Members

A certain credit card company often advertises, “Membership Has Its Privileges”! So goes life as a Lotus Ltd. member.

The Indianapolis Motors Speedway, home of the US Grand Prix (as if you didn’t know) has kindly offered Lotus Ltd. members the chance to have their own Lotus Car Corral June 19-20 at The Speedway for the 2004 US Grand Prix. Parking will be free with a complimentary parking pass on the backstretch for Corral participants who purchase a grandstand ticket for the F1 race. Only Lotus cars are eligible for the Lotus Car Corral, free parking and escort to The Speedway. All attending Lotus Ltd. members will be required to show proof of membership to display their Lotus in the Lotus Car Corral. We’ll have a list of current members on hand from Lotus Ltd. HQ.

We have reserved two blocks of grandstand tickets for Lotus Ltd. members, in Corner 6 Terrace or Corner 10 Terrace. Tickets are $85 each. Each Lotus Ltd. member can call (800) 822-INDY to purchase a grandstand ticket. Identify yourself as a Lotus Ltd. member for the Corral pass as well as the race ticket. For those of you who have already purchased a ticket contact The Speedway ticket office for a Corral pass. If you’d like to join your Lotus compatriots in a reserved section, you can change your ticket as well. There will be a police escort from the gathering point at the Indianapolis Zoo from 8:00AM-10:30AM, on the half hour, to the track provided for registered Lotus on Sunday, June 20th. You will receive a pass out from IMS when parking your Lotus in the Car Corral.

For those Lotus Ltd. members making a weekend of the US Grand Prix at IMS, there are optional Grand Weekend car cruises through downtown Indianapolis Friday June 18th or Saturday June 19th. The cruises for Friday and Saturday start at 7:45PM and 8:30PM from the Indianapolis Zoo. The annual “Walkabout”, one of the most fan friendly features of the US Grand Prix, returns 8:00AM-Noon Thursday, June 17th. The Speedway needs 3-5 Lotus cars as a showcase for the “Walkabout”. The showcase is a grass lot by the plaza near the stage. If you’d like close access in the pit area for photos and video of your favorite F1 driver and their equipment, this would be hard to pass up. Your US Grand Prix race ticket grants you access for the Walkabout. If you simply want to go to The Speedway, admission for Friday is $10 and Saturday is $20. For details on entering your Lotus in the Lotus Car Corral, Walkabout showcase and/or joining either evening cruise contact Lotus Ltd. coordinator Mark Pfeffer at (314) 889-0572 or e-mail [email protected].

Possibly the piesta-de’-resistance is a shot to drive your car on the Indy F1 track the day after the 2004 US Grand Prix. How does one go about this? Simply renew your tickets for the 2005 US Grand Prix and you will receive a renewal ticket to enter the F1 track to drive at a leisurely pace. Tickets can be renewed or purchased online at www.IndianapolisMotorSpeedway.com or by calling the IMS ticket office at (800) 822-INDY.

What better way to enjoy the US Grand Prix then with your Lotus and your Lotus friends at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway?

Happy Lotusing!
