Question Tamiya Polish and Compound

I was using the compound and it was left behind in the panel lines after i wiped it off, i used a piece of paper to get it out, lol, how do you guys do it?? And the Tamiya wax didnt look like it had any effect, could this be because i did not use enough compound??

-Thanks

Paper works fine, but I find that using a soft toothbrush under warm water with some soap works good too.

The tamiya wax stuff is pretty thin, but its major advantage over automotive caranuba waxes is that it doesn't leave residue and doesn't show fingerprints (as easily).

I ran a toothpick around the panel lines to remove any compound
