Completed Photos: Renault Megane Maxi

The Fujimi kit of the Renault Megane Grande Brittange Look converted to actually look like the Renault Megane Maxi.
MRM Transkit used for fender flares and bumper changes.
Interior stripped down and converted to rally car.

Built as the Renault dealer team presentation car since rally markings were not the most accurate.

Thanks to Flyonthewall for a load of help and encouragement in the early stages of this project.

Wow! Absolutely gorgeous, Ray.
Very pleased to see this completed, I didn't know you were even close to finishing it. Are there any interior shots? Maybe on BMC?

Re: Completed Photos: Renault Megane Maxi

Excellent model Ray. I wouldn't have known you had used a transkit on a Fujimi kit of all things to create that. I thought it was straight out of the box like that. It just proves you have to think outside the square now and again. Excellent.

Re: Completed Photos: Renault Megane Maxi

Thanks guys

Eric, the car is high to be on tarmac wheels, but that's how the presentation car was, I'll see if I can find the photos.

Re: Completed Photos: Renault Megane Maxi

this looks very cool indeed Ray!

Everything just looks spot-on!

Too bad the pics are a bit grainy, could be due to compression ratio?

Cool car! Very unusual, at least in my eyes. Beautiful, though, can't ever complain when a street car gets treated to a race.

Re: Completed Photos: Renault Megane Maxi

Just FYI willimo this Megane is no street car! It is a full rallycar built to F2 spec. Cars like these often outpaced and sometimes outright beat the turbocharged 4WD World Rally Cars in the late ninties.

Re: Completed Photos: Renault Megane Maxi

Oh! I'd only seen this kitted as a street car so I assumed....[smacks forehead]. I guess I have a long way to go before I truly fit in over here in the motorsports section....
