What year max do you have? It has been over a decade since the maximas had 4 bangers in them. But my answer would be no...you could never fit the skyline's inline 6 into a 4 banger's engine bay...at least not without extensive modifications (i.e. Like...buying a whole new front end for your car...windshield to the grill...cutting your current front end off...and welding the new one on) Whether you could even find a front end that would fit is probably impossible....plus the mods would be mad expensive. Just put twin turbos in your car or something.....or buy a skyline...there is a company in California that importa them for between 80 and 100,000 dollars

Thats alot of nuts for the skyline... BUT IT STILL IS MY DREAM CAR
While I stare at R-34 GTR model next to my monitor, my eye balls are falling out because of the beauty if that design. But NO, you cant swap the engines from skyline to 4-cyl. max. As bhmax said, you have to rebuild whole front end of ur max, only because skyline inline engine is longer (in terms of size) if u're comparing it to 4-cyl. max (1st gen.) It will cost u alot of nuts but it is possible and will take shit load of time, dedication and $$$NUTS$$$

the only way it would fit is if you converted your car to right hand steering. Nissan can't run the steering column through the turbo on the left side

Well like Paonessa said...the steering column couldn't be run through the left side because that is where the turbo is. So it seems to me that not only would you have to buy the engine, but you would either have to have the car converted to right hand steering (major bucks)...or have a car sent over from Japan or England that is already right hand steering. As for non-expensive imports that that engine would fit in...it's a tough call. All the non-expensive ones usually are 4 bangers, but if you were looking for a cheap 6 cylinder where that engine may fit...the one car that comes to my mind is a Mazda MX6, which can be fairly sporty if you tune it up right. Only other car would maybe be a 6 cylinder Camry, but why the hell would you wanna put all that work into a Camry!? It's a tough call, but like some other people said, almost anything is possible if you have the money and resources. For the money all this would cost you, I'd just go out and buy a Skyline! I am definitely going to own one of those someday...:smoker2:

I have done the math n the figures are unbelivable. The r-34 cost around, 45- 50 k. Import tax n transportation n all that shit, the total is, 118,260, not including the monthly tax for a right-hand side drive car
. . . The skyline engine is only around 4,699 w/ no miles and its a complete swap kit with tranny, n ecu included
