Will some gas damage the car?

Some guy at work today told me that Super unleaded gas will damage my car.I only use super unleaded,so i wanna know if i should continue or use normal from now on?

The only time that gas will damage a car is 1) if its spilled on the car, or 2) if there in not enough octain(SP) in it and the car start to ping like hell...

That's what i thought.But he said something about it damaging my exhaust and shit like that.

ya race gas will cook your cat..so run a "test pipe" its that the led burns so hot it will melt your cat..

anyway I had a 55 gln drum of race gase from the old NATCC series at the shop...it was great cause it was unledded..cause rules mandated cats..so i had to get rid of it some how...my AE86 ran great on it
