Supra Turbo

Hi, just completed this Supra Turbo from Tamiya. Just replaced the wheels to give an agressive look. I used Tamiya paint and model master for inside. Hope you like it!!!!

Re: Supra Turbo

The paint and quality look fantabulous! I just cant let the wheels skate though. The nismo rims are quite specifically for nissan vehicles, primarily skyline and 350. They look good but its like putting american racing wheels on a ferrari.

Re: Supra Turbo

LOVE the whole blacked out look with the red interior!!! Very nice finish. I do have to agree though... Nismo wheels just don't belong on a Toyota. Other than that it looks amazing though. Great work!!

That is one mean looking Supra. I like the overall package. The red interior goes well. Just the right color to set it off. If I squint my eyes I can't see the NISMO decals on the rims. Other than that, a superior build.

Re: Supra Turbo

So if you were the owner of a nice 1:1 supra, and you had the opportunity to pick up some inexpensive nismo wheels that were 8# lighter than your undersized 15" stock supra wheels that bolt right on, you'd decline, even if they looked totally bad ass on the car? I know I wouldn't. I run BBS on my nissan, maybe I should give them up to some VW, or BMW guy because they are made for European vehicles. NOT! haha...J/K

That is one SWEET ride! I've been thinking about postponing another car build in favor of some aircraft, but that may make me change my mind. I've got a tamiya supra, and some 19" Volks that could look really good together.

Thanks for the comments....I know that it's wear to put some nismo wheels on a Toyota but I was surprised with the final result.......

Re: Supra Turbo

Brilliant build, the paintwork is fab.

Sorry to jump on the wheel bandwagon, but I think that if the Nismo decals were not used, it would not look so obvious. Nevertheless, a good lookin' model at the end of the day and that is what counts.

Re: Supra Turbo

Put the NISMO wheels back on! Who cares what wheels you run on your car, if it looks good, go with it! I run Toyota rims on my Nissan from time to time, and it looks good.

Well..... I do have to agree. The nismo wheels look great on there. It's just weird seeing nismo stamped on a Toyota, that's all.
