Spud guns

PVC, ABS, or Cast Iron? Im thinking cast iron, because my friends ABS firing chamber exploded yesterday and nearly took my head off yesterday.

pvc. You can probably pick some up in a dumpster somewhere and yeah it holds up pretty well.

sure, pvc wil hold up to hairspray and deodorant, but i want to use MAPP gas an oxygen, or propane and oxygen. im not trusting myslef to plastic for that. Im just wondering what sizes, thicknesses and prices cast iron comes in

Oh, in that case, they're easy to get for free...just find any "phat-azz" Civic and steal the spud gun off the back Nice and shiny too...

hehe, I'm a pro here, my friend has two made out of ABS and they haven't exploded yet, you have to be competent in thier construction or else.

They get very good distance (about a football field) depending on size and such. My other firned built a watermelon launcher over the summer. It uses half a tank of barbeque propane and launches that sucker!
