Lamborghini Countach 5000QV

Hello to everyone. How are all my old and new modeling friends doing? I haven't been around in a long time due to changes in life and career, but I did get a chance to complete a model that was built for a friend of mine that is returning to Japan after a 5 year assignment in America. This has been his dream supercar and knowing that he wouldn't ever buy a real one, I thought this would get him somewhere closer. It took about 2 weeks to build at work and out of work.
The kit is an old Fujimi Enthusiast kit minus the engine and extra detailing. It does have opening doors, but the fit was pretty bad compared to the standards of today's plastic engineering that some (Tamiya) companies have. It was built completely box stock with decanted Tamiya Black lacquer and enamel clear from Testors. The rest of the colors were a mix of Tamiya, Gunze acrylics and testors enamels. This was the second black model that I have ever done and let me say that black is one difficult color to apply since you see evey imperfection on the finished surface. Hope you guys enjoy the pics!

-Walter

Very nice!
Not a car I would have chosen to paint black. The muffler seems to sit a bit low.
