Complete: 427 Cobra

Well, this is my first completed model in a VERY long time. This strayed from the original concept pulled from a hot rod magazine, but I am very pleased with the result. The only fabrication came in the form of the custom intake. please feel free to ask questions and comment!

Looks like a clean build, but the finish seems dull?

Re: Complete: 427 Cobra

yeah..i was very unpleased about that. It doesn't seem quite as dull in person, but no where NEAR as deep as I expected. there was some trash and peel in it so I hit it with 1k grit, and followed with micro finish, 3m rubbing compound and then scratch out...It really needed sanded out and then cleared again, but My guns have been acting up and I was on a time crunch

Re: Complete: 427 Cobra

What kit is this?

It looks like a clean build, but I'm missing something . It doesn't attrack me.
I'm also a little disappointed about the exhaust-system.

Re: Complete: 427 Cobra

You know Russ, it still works though... The whole car (including the exhaust, which looks fantastic) has the appearance of a daily or weekly driver that gets beat on--very refreshing change from the same ol' same ol' blue shiny perfect 427 cobras.

Glad to see you back working again, too!

Re: Complete: 427 Cobra

I like the color, but it feels like it is missing something. Nice build overall though. Seems to be a large amount of 427's being built as of late. Maybe we can make that the next AF build.

I know someone with a Cobra kit-car and the thing I like the most about it are the two chrome exhausts. They look the best when they're shining as a mirror.
But nice build though.
