New and Old Beetle, WWII Style

Long time since last post here, but here you go. My two latest builds, Volkswagen Beetles:

1956 Oval window Beetle from Gunze Sangyo. Decals from WWII allied bomber.

Modifications:
-Windowtrims foiled with aluminium
-Lowered a lot
-Added rust and dirt
-aftermarket exhaust tip

Revell New Beetle with WWII German army decals.

Modifications:
-Roof aluminium foil
-tyres/wheels from Tamiya '66 Beetle
-lowered
-blinkers moved to head- and taillights
-Added aftermarket exhaust tip.
-Headrest removed from interior

Together:

I agree with said above, that old one looks awesome. I have never really seen the two together and I just realized that the new one are actually kind of ugly. No offense to you of course, both are great models.

Re: New and Old Beetle, WWII Style

Both are nice models as a Vw fan you know how to make me happy

Just one comment, I wouldn't have painted the beetle in German grey with US decals. Or you keep the paint but apply german decals (like the NewB) or you paint it Olive drab. Just my
Very nice models BTW
