Question Fuel Filter replacement.

Ok, according to the factory service manual you pull the fuel pump fuse, start the engine, and wait for it to die. Does that sound like a safe method for releasing the fuel pressure?

Cool Gas Filter

Or...leave it set over night and the pressure goes away on its own. Have changed mine four times and never had to relieve the pressure.
