Decal help

hey guys,

was putting on instrument panel decal on my project. everything was going fine. it was in the perfect spot when suddenly, the top right corner wrinkled and folded itself. I managed to take it off and used some Micro Set in hopes of maybe getting the fold to unfold itself. unfortunately it seems like it's a lost cause and the decal is pretty much ruined.

If any happens to have a spare instrument panel decal that is or is similar to the cluster gauge that is in a R34 skyline and would be willing to help me out.

would greatly appreciate it.

i really need help in this. started car modelling not long ago. i dip the decal in warm water. (only warm water) and i tot of sliding it off onto my model, it dont.. the back part is wet.. in fact, the decal is like scoth tape pasted on a piece of paper and pulled out.. teach me pls..

I can't help Mtxzptlk with the Skyline gauges, but I can help lonerx with decal instruction.
Let's say you want to put on a typical hood emblem. Cut out the emblem with sharp scissors. Cut as close to the colored part as you can to get rid of the excess carrier film around the decal (which will be visible once the decal is installed). Next, use tweezers to hold the decal while holding it in warm/hot water for about 10 seconds. The decal should fizz a little, and maybe get some tiny bubbles on it. After 10 seconds, place the decal on a paper towel for about 30 seconds. Pat the extra water off the top while you are waiting. Once the time is up, gently slide the decal off the paper and onto the model. Quickly position it with your fingers or a brush or toothpick, then let it sit undisturbed overnight.
If you are using MicroSet and MicroSol to help the decal conform to complex shapes or sharp curves, you should put the MicroSet on with a brush while you are waiting the 30 seconds for the decal to be ready. Once the decal is on, gently brush some MicroSol over the top, then most certainly don't touch the decal anymore!! If you do you will destroy it. Hope this helps you.
