Talking WIP -Tamiya Nissan 350Z

Hi Everyone

Starting my new project after the Eunos Roasters, get advises from everyone photo looks really great under natural light!

Polish the base color this morning. Just wondering what you guys think of the black side mirror and the rear wing? Still thinking if I should change them back to white ................

Should apply the clear coat once I made my mine clean, haha ~~~

Planning to paint the rims with flat black or metallic black, Wat you guys recog?

I hate flat black rims, they look so ghetto. now a nice gloss gunmetal, or bronze would look outstanding on the white paintjob.

you do have a wonderful shine on that Z, that's for sure!! I really enjoyed building this kit, though I went alot further that you appear to be going. I hated the fact that it's a f\/(&1%6 toy when it's done

I agree on the mirrors and the wing. Keep them black.
As for the rims... A gunmetel color that looks like the rims in this pic:

Hi cyberkid
Thx for you reply, finally decided to to keep this car clean so plan to paint the side mirror and the wings white again.

Sure more glossy would be great! But I am quite happy to have this gloss appearance without clear coat!

You have a nice glossy effect already on the body, I'm sure with a clearcoat it would look spectacular.

I like the idea of it having black mirrors and wing, but maybe to add just a bit more detail than plain black and white, maybe make them cf. You could try the method of using stockings as a mask, as someone had mentioned on this forum. Great shine so far!

Re: WIP -Tamiya Nissan 350Z

Is time to update the progress of my 350z, been a don't have much time these days. Paint all trims this morning. Will start to paint all the silver color parts tomol!

Thanks for everyone suggestion, the rims look great in metal black!
What do you guys think the color of the flocking? A bit weird isn't it, anyone try to airbrush the flock with different color? Does it work?

Looking good! I liked the mirrors and spoiler in black better, but looks good either way. The flocking looks OK to me.
