AMT '36 Ford Coupe Info
Hi everybody. I have just bought an AMT '36 ford coupe and am wondering if anyone has any info on the extra components that arent part of the intructions. I know they are alternative pieces eg carson top, "billet" rims however there are engine components and other smaller pieces that I am not familiar with as this is my first model car for quite some time. Is there anywhere (on the net) i can get intructions or lists of what these components are (for example by number)? Also i am wondering how i am able to lower/channel the car for a better hot rod or rat rod look. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: AMT '36 Ford Coupe Info
look for these two kits, they are the ones that have all of the parts necessary for the use of all the custom parts. BTW, the spare engine parts are for a small block chevy V-8, so if you are a die hard ford guy, I'd get the monogram '32 coupe, and steal the engine from it to use in your '36!!
I MAY have the instructions for one of the '37 convertibles around here somewhere, I'll look for them. if I have them I could mail them to you. http://cgi.ebay.com/MONOGRAM-37-FORD...QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/REVELL-1937-FORD...QQcmdZViewItem

Re: AMT '36 Ford Coupe Info
hey billy... nice to see your entering the model world again with a rod! As for lowering the car, are you familar with how it is usually done to 1:1 rods? If so i like to scratch build my own chassis outta boxed stock so i can "Z" or step up the frame... i dont have a tutorial on this but search on this site, there have been plenty of WIP build with step by step Z'd frames.. good luck mate
