2002 altima vs hybrid civic

who would win between the two... a stock altima the v6 one with no mods... or a 93 civic hatchback with a jdm gsr motor pushin out 180hp stock also... in a straight line for about a quarter of a mile...

im pretty sure it would be a good race but the v6 would take it....(just a comparison for an example) racing a GSR and a 5 speed maxima, the maxima wins.....thast a older maxima

Imagine a altima (ligheter, more power) also same as the hatch, light with power, but Altima would be a tough car to beat.

thanks for your thought... but i jus talk to the guy today... and i wanted to race him for money... but he kinda backed out... i dont know if he was just kidding but money was also involved... he wants to look under my hood but im refusing cause my engine is basically my pride and joy and my car looks basically stock...

havnt ran it yet but it pulls hard... i have a few mods one taht helps me the most is my race clutch... well i duno how fast it is it jus pulls hard i pulled hard on a few cars that i thought would be hard to beat an acura cl type s, i duno what mustang its a 89 mustang, and a 240sx, thats the most i hav race latley cuz i jus barely got the swap...

Hey dont get to cocky there.....friend just dropped a prelude motor into his Honda Accord 95 coupe......thing is a slow as hell.....he even has a prelude tranny in it. Sucks for him huh.......1/4 is about 15.6 seconds

My friends GSR with mods runs a 15.3......and he lost by like 1 or 2 car lengths when they raced so that 15.6 is an estimate

Other friend actually has a GSR swap in a hatch.....its a bad job...but he can still beat GSR's....so your probably in the mid to high 14 second range with the Altima, guy with the Altima probably things your running nos.....so just race him for 20 bucks so he isnt afraid.....and if you lose you dont lose too much

im sorry if im sounding cocky... becuz right now my car looks likk crap its jus this is the only thing that im proud off... the color of my car is so embarrassing and my car looks stock... but the guy with a v6 is kinda scared for somreason jus becuz i offerd 20 bucks to race him... but all i kno its going to be a good race... thanks for the info tho to any one and everyone who replied or jus looked at it...

I am glad your happy with your engine swap....i was wishing my dad would get me a hatch instead of a new car so I could do an engine swap....I love the fun of those cars with the loud vtec and all that cool stuff in it.....but dont worry about your paint, I am sure you will eventually get it painted and everything and you will have fun smoking GSR's and preludes =)

thanks... originally i had a choice... not to show it off or ne thing iduno if many of you tink im stupid... but i was jus makkn the right choice financially for my parents and for the good of my brother... i had a choice of pikkin my car with an engine swap... or jus geting a tt 94 supra... but i choice my hatch instead... i dont think i can handle that supra also... and right now i jus need somthing small and fun that you can do many bolt on stuff yourself... but i duno im sure you could of goten one becuz i kinda convinced my dad since im only a senior in hs... n i did bad my whole junior year grade wise... i got good grades and im not your average smart guy also... but i duno why most teenagers dislike there parents or dont think there kool my dad is so kool he even knows i race... the sad part is i wish what he said came true when he said he wanted to race me... but he got a stroke so hes half partially disable on his right side... but yia think twice on how you treat ur parents if u arent treating them right...

Yeah my parents totally spoil me but they dont want me racing, they worry to much, mom knows and doesnt like it, dad has no idea.

But he just got me my 4th car in 2 years of having a license so I am keeping this one till after college. Anyways be careful and your car was a good choice, You will enjoy it for a few years.

i got a new car b/c my dad wont let me do a motor swap or anything cool like that.
