Well, my '95 Jimmy is doing it again...I have to spray starting fluid in the intake to get it fire up & once I do that it runs pretty much fine. The way I see it, I only have TWO components left to change...the nut kit or the injectors assy. (CPI spider). I gotta believe it is the nut kit at this point. When I had the intake that area was a "little" cleaner than the rest, but not as much as I have seen in pix posted to this site. I figure I must have a pin hole in one of the lines...whatta you guys think? Hell, at least I can get a nut kit on ebay for $57 as opposed to the injector assy. for $271. Pray for me....please....

Re: '95 Jimmy 4.3 Vortec doing it again....
Ok, this is weird. Tonight the weather is cool for July - it's about 55 now. I fired it up TWICE in the coller weather - NO ether! I'm starting to really think it is the nut kit. My logic+ nut kit is a hard plastic material, cooler weather would make plastic shrink, right? If I have a pin hole or maybe a crack it the thing, warm expands, cool contracts. The "leak" would sort of seal when it's cool & when its hot is would get worse.... ???? What do you guys think?
Pray for me...PLEASE... Jon |
