But will those small buzzers/piezo elements be loud enough to be audible over the sound of a revving engine and exhaust?

If you're listening for it you should be able to hear it. How would I wire this and a LED light. Should I wire them both in a row? Would my rmp activated switch be able to give off enough electricity for both to work?

you might use the LED signal as an input to a small IC amp. When the trigger is set, it emits a say 1 KHz tone. Piezos are VERY efficient, so it would only have to be 1 watt output or so. I guess t would be like the chirp on a radar detector.

Does anyone know how to wire this then? The rmp activated switch(4 wires), sound emitter(2 wires), and LED light(2 prongs)

I would just go for a Monster Tach with a big ass shift lite. I would junk the sound idea, its a nice thought though, and totally origional. I think after about a month or two of hearing it I would end up putting my fist through the cluster in a fit of rage.
