Welding

Has anyone attempted to weld their own skid plates, sliders, bumpers, or any other parts? If you have do you pictures of the results?

One of the Admins at Nissan4Wheeler is fairly handy:

There's not many choices for us Xterra owner's, so I was just considering options. Plus it would be cool to be able to make your own parts - rock sliders, skid plates, front & rear bumpers, all that stuff.

I've seen the stuff from Skid Row and Calmini (winch bumper is cool!) and that's probably where I'll go but I was just curious too.

Im running an ARB, Calmini sliders and have the full set of skids on order. So far the bolt on stuff hasnt failed me. The ARB has been awesome for my winch and many of the other situations I have been in. It does take a bite into the Xterras approach angle though.
