New Guy doing B16
Hi My name is Beau. I am currently driving a 91 civic hatch. It is a STD. I have already got my B16A1. I have a few questions. First off I am getting the mount kit and Wiring from hasport. I have a PW0 Ecu. I know that I need to get the different knuckles and hubs and axles Hoses. But what else should I get? Anything I should watch out for? Whats the best clutch to get for a street car with 60 shot of Nitrous? Also Any guess on 1/4 mile et. the car weighs 2100 fully loaded. I know I have to change shift linkage. Also on the block it says B16A then 10..... serial number with S1 tranny. Is this a first gen. I don't know that much about civics. I am a mechanic and also own a 12 sec neon R/T.(I know its not a honda but I wanted a fast winter car(civic). Just new to the hole "Honda Realm" Thanks in advance.

Well at least you know you have to change the hubs because your std tranny was probably a 4 speed right? Anyways, you will have to get the 86-89 Integra axels with the 90-93 Integra outer joints. It kinda sucks having to do it but i just helped my friend Bryan out with his 90 DX HB that he just put a B16 into his. A good street/strip clutch is the ACT stage 3 clutch. It is also a good clutch for a small turbo. The motor should just say B16A but still be a first gen(ex: out of a 88-91 Civic/CRX SiR) You will of course need the shift linkage but if you modify your DX it can be used but i would kinda watch out if you do it that way. If you have any other questions feel free to email me @ [email protected] and i'll be glad to help you out since i just helped my friend with the swap. Good luck.
