Lowest drop before needing camber kit?
Anyone know how low you can drop a P11 before needing a camber kit? I've been told that with Eibach you don't need them, but anything lower you should. Of course, I have no idea what is right or wrong, I just don't want any odd tire wear.
Thanks to anyone for their insight. ~Jonathan

good taste to lower your ride.
just by doing that, your car is gonna be like 2xxx better looking.yah, I use tein's and lowered it about 45mm front, 20mm rear. the rear isn't that high from start. I don't use a chamber kit and dont plan to. I haven't had the tires re-aligned either. it tracks straight and corners like a dream so no need for my application (commuting). ![]() Id be worried about shortening the stroke too much before worrying about camber on these P11's.

You dont need a camber kit for our cars.
![]() The rear may have a problem if you got 12" wheels and dropped it 5 inches! ![]() But our cars have multi-link suspensions, so camber isnt an issue for the most part |

Actually camber is an issue.
Unfortunately there is no way to correct the camber in our cars. Yet.

Well...
I've had my car lowered 2" for over a year now and had my 18" wheels on all winter so the tires are about 14 months old and NO uneven wear. The last time I checked the tread wear was about 3 weeks ago. The rear looks like it may have some *slight* camber to it, but I think thats how it was in stock form. The front is COMPLETELY straight. |

did not know that. I heard you could use any camber kit to correct it.
Then again I just heard.

i was referring to mrcoilover's question, bud.
yah, I havent noticed uneven wear on my tires yet either. i live in a brand new complex where the streets are still kinda muddy from the construction trucsk enterin/leavin. i can see contact patch on the tire and it's damn flat all the way across. so no camber problems for me, i guess. i dont plan to get a wheel alignment either.

Found this on MMRs site. According to Ingall, camber can be adjusted on our cars.

You don't need the "crash" bolts to adjust camber in the rear. There is enough slop in the struts on a P10 to be able to do it without them. What is disturbing is that they list rear camber adjustment for the P11 which has the rear log axle. To the best of my knowledge, the log is not adjustable at all. There is no camber adjustment available for the front of either car.
