key messed

when i stick the key in the ignition i can turn it to the radio and have lihts on but when i try and start the truck it wont move.. is the key damaged, i dont have a spare. do i need a new ignition switch or osmething...
i have a 1991 chevy s10

so i have figured it is the ignition switch that is the problem. How much do these go for and are they easy to replace?

If it's like mine the hardest part is removing the steering wheel.
The part should be cheap (way less than 50), and if they want a mint talk to the wrecker for a used one
