This was my first superdetailed 1/12 kit. It was all brush painted with Tamiya acrilic paint.
![]() As other models i made the clear coat were brush painted. I try to detail it the best i could without using any aftermarket piece, because i can't afford it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't have photos of the bottom of the monocoque, but all the wires and radiator cables where reproduce by references. I try to give it a old/used chassis apperanced, but it was a very timid try ![]() Hope you like it! Commentaries and suggestions are welcome. Re: Completed: Renault RE20
Very nice. I bet that would be big and impressive in the flesh (so to speak). Did you build all those models recently or years ago?

Re: Completed: Renault RE20
Your work is great, but why are you photographing your models in such a position? I noticed in another of your threads you also had the car sitting on the corner of a box. Why not set the car on its wheels and take some pics of it like a car is supposed to be sitting? Real cars don't hover in the air, why should your scale car?

Re: Completed: Renault RE20
Great job!
Building on a budget....brush painting...heavy detailing without aftermarket parts...that's the heart of modelling. WELL DONE! ![]()

Thanks guys
g00eY - I give one heavy dissolve coat of Tamiya acrilic paint with a thick brush in a not very hot conditions to the paint not dry very quickly. I brush from the front to the back (or the top to the bottom). Them i leave it drying for a day or two and remove the excess of paint, engraving the lines. I only have one try.... because of that, i look to it about 15 min after paint to see if everything is allright; is not, i remove the paint with running hot water and start again! RallyRaider - This kit is very impressive when you see it live! I like the Williams too much, but this Renault are some glamour. I build it in the summer of 1995 (in that period i only built kits in summer vacations!). It take 3 months. The Williams-Renault was built in the summer of 1996 and finnished in the 1997' summer when i started the Alfa 155 (that was built in 4 years!!!!! because i start working). Now i'm doing a superdetaing Lola t93-00 Ford project and a Rosso Ferrari 512TR (the last one by inspiration of this forum). bhop73 - I take these picture only to test my digital camera and to have any memory of my cars (i don't have them in the place that i'm frequently). Some time ago I thought in stop building because i haven“t time for it and i became a little depressed, but looking to these pics and to your's (and F1m.com modellers) work, i start again. I plan to take some "normal" pics soon (has i take to my Alfa 155 and Delta kits). I post those pics because were the only one i have! But you are completly right. klutz_100 - You said everything. I like it that way, even if i spray some pieces now. I try some PE parts and i like it to much. But i can“t spend much money in it (the kits and paints are very expensive and allmost out-budget).
