Dallas area people....

How many people here are in the Dallas/Fort Worth area? I know of two already, (white97ex, wumbachumba) maybe we can have some kind of GTG somewhere?

Sounds great. I'm in the mid cities area. Would love to get together sometime. Hopefully some of the group's skill will rub off on me...

Hey Tony J. here in Irving Tx. home of the MCMA, Metroplex Car Modelers Association. We meet every second saturday of the month, here in Irving. All are welcome and all styles also. We will be having a big contest in November, also in Irving. At the last contest called the showdown we had almost 300 entries and many venders. It was a very good time! I am inviting you to come to both the club meetings and or the contest in November. I think that wht97ex is going to join the club, just a 20.00 dollar yearly fee. Free food and drinks at every meeting and you can bring your builds and projects for all of us to look at and comment on. You also get to tell us about yourself and your work, it really is a good time and no pressure, but you really need to come by atleast once. Check the website, under some renovation at this time(photo gallry is down at this time) WWW.themcma.com for more info. Hope to see ya'll there.

Re: Dallas area people....

Missed the MCMA meeting this month I believe. Yea, I have tomorrow and thursday off, not much notice to meet, but that's the furthest I know of my work schedule.

Yeah, white97ex told me about the meeting but that was Will's birthday and we spent it in College Station. I don't think we'll be here anymore for the meeting in August either, I have to get back to Midland and fix my car. I was hoping for something in between now and mid-August; this weekend is out due to an autocross at A&M, but as of right now I don't think we have anything going for the 23-24 of July, or the 6-7 of August.

We get off work at 4, so we may be able to do something on a weeknight, but not Fridays. (that's when we drive back)

Let me know when the contest is and what the rules are, I may have something finished by then; if not, that Viper is really becoming a workhorse for me!

Hey, what do you know, it is Wednesday!

You'd definately get to see the 1:1. We finally brought it up here.

Now, as much as I would love to organize something, I don't know where anything is or where we could meet. Yall are going to have to help here!

Re: Dallas area people....

What about the Grapevine Mills Mall? I know where that is, and the food court is always almost empty when I go. But, I don't know how close that is to anything.

Well see, now I don't know...there has to be somewhere in the greater Dallas area where people can meet and share models in peace!

Re: Dallas area people....

Public library? We have a commons area in ours, or maybe we could go to the rec center on a day my brother works and meet in one of thier rooms, but I would have to talk with him about that.
