510 buying issues
i dont see why people on here have such a hard time finding 510's i bought mine yesterday
 with no rust ok interior needs paint and the back driver side is pushed in where the tail light is will push right out though has the l16 but found out it has no compression in cyclinder #1 (can you say ka24 swap)  which im bumbed about but othere than that it only cost me $200 and the guy has like over 50 datsun's z cars and 510 2 doors and wagons and a couple trucks mainly 510's though so why is so hard to find them for you guys???

actually i just cam across a few from dimequarterly.com but most of the 510 from there were from oregon...daym i need to move there or something but yea i think i foundf a potential 510 in SD woohoo!!

Oregon, in my opinion, is the wildlife sanctuary for 510's. Every time i saw one for sale, half the time it was in Oregon, WA State, or somewhere else in the Northwest.
 Here in the east coast, you'd be lucky to even see one... How I ended up being a 510 owner in the Northeast? 2 words....pure luck....  I read about 510's for over 10 years before I got mine... For those who are thinking about it, my advice is to get one... However you choose to build it, you will love it...

Damn, I spoke too soon...
 I got this info from Club4AG forum. Here's a pic of the car:  The guy's AIM is moparwagonz This is what he said in his post: I have a 72 Datsun 510 2 door, L16 with 4 speed manual, straight body, runs great. Lowered on black 280ZX alloys. Interior needs work, has EG Civic seats. All tagged and registered, smog exempt in CA, Satin Orange/Black paint job. Looking to trade for AE86, 240SX etc. Car is located in Central California so im open to both Norcal and Socal let me know what you have.. the only thing I want is to be CA smog legal and manual transmision. Will consider partial trades as well as straight across trades. The last post from him stated that he will sell it for $1500 firm. Here's the post stating the price: Just sold the wheels so I would sell the car for 1500 cash right now. (has black steel wheels with great tires on it now) That's a steal as far as I'm concerned for a running Datsun 510. Based on his posts, he's in Fresno, CA. Lots of people are inquiring, but nobody has jumped on it... I've since posted to get contact information from him. I'll see if he responds. If the meantime, whoever is interested, IM him... Whoever wants it....make it happen, Cap'n... Just my

i just picked up my 510 in san diego today at ab out 11 am this morning. Rust free and a HUGE list of parts came with it as it is still a project car... let me know if you want me to post the list.

I have been looking for a 510 for a little while now, but haven't had much luck. I live in Oregon, and would like to try and get a hold of 90LShatch to find out where in Salem he got his at. I haven't had any luck trying to reach him either, can anyone help?
