DC sports header O2 sensor question

I have a 97 civic ex and Im trying to install my 4-2-1 header. On the stock manifold, the O2 sensor is towards the top of the manifold, while the DC sport header has it near the down pipe. How will i be able to connect the O2 sensor?

the dc should have two holes being how your car has two o2 sensors. if not you got the wrong one.

some reason i was picturing the dx manifold. its been a while since ive looked at civic stuff being how i have the lude now. the stock primary o2 sensor plugs into the mani up high and the new location is down after the 2-1 merge right if im understanding you correctly. if thats the case then your going to have to lengthen the wires. just dont cut them to close to the sensor and use good connectors. i dont know though something doesnt seem right about that....ive never heard anyone else asking this question and i know theres a shitload of civics in here with dc headers. i really need to brush up on my civic shit...if there is enough wire in the factory loom running back to the harness then split the loom and wrap the o2 sensor around the back of the motor.

your guess is as good as mine, you would think since it is a "bolt on" you wouldnt have to go through that though.

The reason why your DC Sport header has just one hole for the sensor is because Your car(96+ Civics) is OBDII and they have 2 Oxigen sensors(One on the Manifold and one on the cat). 92-95 civics are OBDI and have just one sensor.
In theory your DC was not designed for your civic(Although it fits your 96+ civic) cause DC designed their headers for up tp the 92-95 civic(just 1 O2 sensor). So basically DC Sport has no header for the 96-00 civics. If you want it to work w/o having the Check Engine on(cause you need to plug both O2 sensors) you will have to buy a High flow Cat and make the 2nd O2 sensor hole to plug it in.
That way you connect one sensor to the header and one sensor to the High flow cat. If you don't do this, you can still put the header but you will have to get used to see your Check engine light on at ALL TIMES.
