1997 Grand Prix Fan Problems

Just curious if anyone has had the same problem, 1997 grand prix, fan works on position 5 only. Sometimes works on none.... When in any other position 1-4 the head lights don't work in automatic, the defrost and ac switch don't work..... Had the resistor replaced at dealership and after $700.00 later it worked ok for a few months and then towards end of winter it went again. No fan in any position,,,, Tryed AC on a verry hot day and noticed it working again on position 5 only...

Any suggetions.... I am reluctant to return vehicle back too dealer ship...
