84 - 91 civic hb
I am considering getting a 84-91 Civic hb in the mid to late summer. The ultimate goal is to swap another engine into it (down the road aways), but what my question was was that if there were any probs to be had with these years civics what would they be? I just want to know what to look for if anything might be wrong?

IMO that's the worst problem with those cars.

yeah, the body is all I really care about. Hopefully I'll be able to get a car that has little or no rust for cheap! Anything else???....

The 84-87 Civics and CRXs mayn not have the sweetest looks, but if you are talking engine swaps they are the lightest modern Civic chassis.
When the 3rd Gens started making the sealed beam headlights it make them look alot nicer. I have an 86, and it doesnt look like shit at all. |

yeah, rust is a problem on our cars.
I have a couple little rust spots forming on mine. that is the reson i am putting a kit/new paint before the engine. I CAN'T STAND RUST... it's the devil  |
